Mythology is not a relic, it's a survival technology, a foundational language humans have used to organise meaning, belonging and relationship for 98% of our cultural history.

It's a cellular practice: we remember it, believe through it, and have evolved with it. We're now in a rare, disorienting moment of being "mythless," relying solely on economic and rational frameworks that carry deeply ingrained shadow metaphors (hierarchy, extraction, separation, linearity) resulting in a profound crisis of meaning and ecological relationship. But mythology isn't something to recover from the past; it's a living methodology for recognising the aliveness of the world right now. Science (observational truth) and story (narrative truth) resonant most strongly when they are reflections of each other, they're two sides of the same truth, and when told together they offer a meaning we can relate to, rather than holding fact as something separate from experience.

As the world falls apart, myths can bind us back into relationship with each other and the living planet.
