Amber is designed to emulate a lifeform to provide a more qualitative experience of domestic energy use. Within the glass enclosure Amber appears as a ‘breathing’ organism whose health is reactive to your energy use; excessive energy use leaves Amber ill-defined and lethargic while efficient energy use makes her vital and energised. This work emulates 'life' to elicit empathy and allow a more emotive relationship to energy use and the greater ecosystem.
